Fun Activities
in the Monadnock Region
Many people
come to this area to climb the world famous Mt.
Monadnock which is two miles down the road from the farm.
 |
In
addition to that hike there is, nearby, any kind of outdoor activity
you could ever dream of wanting to do—swimming, tennis, nature walks
in the myriad state parks, riding, canoeing, or golf at any of several
renowned courses, |
|
|
cross country skiing, and when you are finished, sitting on the terrace
at the farm and enjoying a glass of wine or cold beer. |
| |
The
area also boasts a huge variety of exceptionally fine dining, from
the nationally famous Lindy’s Diner to the "haute cuisine" of Nicola's
Trattoria. |
| |
Cultural
offerings abound, from one of the nation’s finest summer stock repertory
theaters, to the intimate chamber renditions of Monadnock
Music to the grander scale of the New Hampshire Symphony.
The
Colonial Theater and Keene State College’s Arts Center on Brickyard
Pond offer a variety of greater and lesser performers and performances
throughout all seasons.
Each
month the main street of Keene
is closed for a special festival, the most famous being the pumpkin
festival on Halloween

There
is plenty to do, and see!
